Invest
in a proven method that works! Big Brothers Big
Sisters’ model of one-to-one youth mentoring
reduces truancy, improves academic performance,
fosters self-sufficiency, curtails violence, strengthens
families, and builds healthy communities.
Our
grantmaking partners play a crucial role in our
agency. Relationships with our grantors not only
directly support at-risk children and youth, but
also leverage program growth, further funding, and
community transformation. Each funder adds depth
to our organization, whether through relationship-building,
program development, or a unique community perspective.
Thanks to the commitment of our grantmakers in 2009,
586 vulnerable youth mentored through Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Mercer County have increased levels
of self-confidence, better relationships with their
peers and adults and increased commitment to their
academics. Together we can give children the opportunity
for bright, promising futures.
